Koen van Rijn (1993, based in Rotterdam) is a visual artist who works in a variety of media. He creates situations in which everyday objects are changed or disconnected from their natural function. By applying specific combinations and certain manipulations, different functions and / or contexts are created. With a conceptual approach, he presents everyday objects combined with witty elements but also slightly provocative.
His works respond directly to the environment, often these are framed examples that would go unnoticed in
their original context.

Graduated Willem De Kooning Academie,
Fine Arts. 2020.
